What is this?

This is a blog about some software that runs on a server that your browser can connect to rendering a client with which you can interact with a shared state seen and available to other users on demand. We'd like to call it art. Some might think its a game, but that may be a stretch. You can see for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
Ultimately its an experiment.

The experiment

This experiment is to determine what it takes to make an online experience like this, at least at some moderate scale. We hope to achieve something in this prototype that people interact with, and might enjoy it so much they choose to do it more than once and tell their friends about it too.
We may find it takes on a life of its own and grows into something entirely unanticipated. But we will not pretend to expect or predict such matters.
